We’re looking for a reliable medical assistant to work directly with our healthcare staff and help us provide first-class care to our patients. You’ll greet people when they come in, schedule appointments, take patient histories, collect test samples, and assist with examinations, all while building an excellent rapport with our patients. Responsibilities:
  • Complete the patient’s insurance forms in their records, notating all symptoms, test results, diagnoses, treatment instructions, and prescriptions
  • Document the patient’s vital signs including respiration rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, and pulse and write down the information in their chart
  • Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office
  • Assist healthcare staff with examinations by handing the appropriate medical instrument and supplies to the physician, positioning the patient, and helping with other tasks as needed
  • Talk with the patient about the reason for their visit and record their personal information and medical history to share with healthcare staff
Qualifications:
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited medical assisting program a supervised externship in a healthcare setting
  • Should have a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency
  • 1 year of prior experience as in a medical assisting role performing administrative duties or similar position in a healthcare work environment
  • High school diploma or GED
