Geographic locations in which MMSI currently operates include the U.S East, Gulf & West Coasts, and Alaska. The Corporate Office is in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technically advanced facility in Woodbine Georgia.

How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:

Join the dynamic MMSI team as Marine General Labor responsible for performing maintenance and repair for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC). This position is located at our Regional Boat Maintenance Center in Woodbine, GA. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in Maintenance Tasks as needed.
  • Assist in moving equipment and supplies to support logistics needs.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks with supervision.
  • Assist Painting as needed, marine preservation and painting experience preferred.
  • Assist welding as needed.
  • Use and operate power tools as needed.
  • Assist in the dismantling and reassembly of various vessel systems.
  • Any other duties as required for the Contract performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school graduation or equivalency certification is required.

Lift up to 50lbs.

Climb ladders and work overhead jobs.

Reading and understanding technical drawings is a plus.

Ability to use Multimeters and other Diagnostic equipment is a plus.

Have good communication and teamwork skills.

Abilities:

Work with others as part of a team

Pass required physical and drug screening

Physical Demands

  • Moderate. Please refer to the USCG Merchant Mariner Medical and Physical Examination Requirements for Merchant Mariner Credentials (Form CG-719 K).
