We are seeking a friendly, organized, and service-oriented Front Desk Agent to join our team at Trixie Motel. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience from the moment they walk through our doors. This position is responsible for handling check-ins, check-outs, guest requests, managing emails and phone calls, and providing general support and information to our guests.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
    • Efficiently process guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly, including managing reservations, issuing room keys, and providing guests with information about motel amenities and policies.
    • Handle credit card transactions accurately while managing the front desk cash drawer.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exemplary customer service to all guests, addressing and resolving guest inquiries and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
    • Offer assistance and information regarding local attractions, dining, entertainment, and directions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Communication:
    • Manage motel communication lines, including answering phone calls and emails, taking messages, and ensuring any guest requests or inquiries are addressed promptly.
    • Communicate effectively with other staff to ensure guest needs are met and motel operations run smoothly.
  • Reservations:
    • Assist with booking reservations, modifying existing reservations, and providing information about room availability and rates.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of guest accounts and transactions.
    • Perform daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing guest correspondence.
    • Ensure the front desk area is always clean, organized, and well-maintained.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a motel or similar establishment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
  • Proficiency in using motel management software and general computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
