Primary purpose: Load & transport material to job sites and safely unload by hand or using a dump bed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Quality Check: Safely load materials, conducting quality checks to identify and address defects.
  • Material Delivery: Deliver materials to job sites, ensuring safe and orderly unloading of products.
  • Paperwork Accountability: Maintain accountability for paperwork, keeping it clean, dry, and organized.
  • Knowledge Growth: Devote yourself to growing your knowledge base, and staying informed about materials and processes.
  • Support Crew and Foreman: Offer support to crew members and foremen during material delivery and unloading.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and sub-contractors in a friendly manner, representing the company positively.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Driver’s License: Possess a driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • DOT Medical Card: Possess a DOT Medical Card or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days.
  • Physical Abilities: Able to work in inclement weather. Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Material Knowledge: Ability to learn and identify various grades of lumber and building materials.
  • Versatility and Direction Following: Be willing to be versatile, understand, and follow directions.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to problem-solve with minimal supervision, addressing challenges effectively.
  • Composure: Carry yourself with pride, remain calm in a crisis, and communicate with difficult people without being reactive.
  • Honesty and Consistency: Be forthright, honest, and consistently do your best in all aspects of the job.
  • Company Representation: Represent the company in a way that conveys a good impression to customers.
