Trapper's Sushi is now looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our growing team! As one of the Pacific Northwest's most desired dining establishments, our mission is to learn our customers names, as well as provide the best service and food possible, leaving our customers with a craving to come back for more!

The Assistant Manager role is responsible for managing and delivering excellent guest experiences. You will ensure efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer service. Duties will include training and developing staff, creating work schedules, and ensuring health and safety regulations are carried out.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction by learning our customers' names and teaching your staff to follow this guiding principle of Trapper's Sushi
  • Ensure that Trapper's core values are carried out by all team members
  • Coordinate staff schedules
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Promote Trapper's in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values
Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven work experience as a manager or supervisor
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office
  • BS degree in Business Administration, hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
  • Washington State Food Worker Card and MAST Alcohol Server Permit are required (before first day of work)
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty pounds
  • Capability of working in a faced paced environment
