What you will do:

Reporting directly to the VP Operations of Aerzen USA, the Quality Manager is responsible for developing and driving the company’s quality, sustainability, and Quality culture for Aerzen USA. This position will embrace the development, implementation, and management of quality (including quality management, claim management, supplier development, test bench, and material testing), sustainability and health and safety systems to support the business’s strategic growth plans. This position will lead the business ensuring adherence to the company’s core values. As part of the AERZEN Group’s matrix organization this role works very closely with the central quality, sustainability, and safety department at HQ.

  • Responsible for the region’s overall quality metrics (quality management, complaint management, supplier development, material testing, etc.), sustainability and HSE.
  • Implement procedures to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment.
  • Set quality guidelines and ensure that products adhere to quality standards.
  • Train production staff with regards to best practices for safety and quality assessment of goods.
  • Manage and improve the cost of warranty.
  • Manages the monthly quality, sustainability, and HSE meetings with the “Quality and Sustainability” department at HQ.
  • Develop the quality, sustainability, and HSE strategy for Aerzen USA.
  • Be the liaison between production and the service managers to ensure field and customer feedback is incorporated into the go-forward strategy.
  • Motivate and coach the Quality Team to develop capabilities and raise the profile of the team.
  • Heads the safety council and oversees and monitors the safety program.
  • Overall responsibility for gaining and maintaining approvals to ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and any additional applicable accreditations.
Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Mechanical Engineering or comparable required. Additional education towards Quality Management, Sustainability and / or MBA is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within manufacturing and/or the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience directly related to Quality and Health and Safety Management, overseeing manufacturing and offshore work environments.
  • Must have a working knowledge of QHSE Systems, including international standards and certifications and in particular ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Lead Auditor would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record in developing, implementing and leading health, safety and environmental risk management.

Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate Computer Knowledge: Able to create, use, navigate and perform reports at an Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Job Specific Software: Basic ability to create, use and retrieve project related information from ERP systems, scheduling software, etc.
