Project Manager - Washington Workshop

Summary

The Project Manager works closely with customers and vendors, and is responsible for oversite of the concept of new or upgraded, design, manufacture, repair and installation of the equipment.

What you'll do

• Solve customer problems through the design of new or modifications of existing equipment. Responsible for oversite in creating drawings for the production of referenced equipment
• Follow rebuild projects from arrival to shipment working with Customer and Plant personnel – inspection reports upon disassembly, quoting of repair, procurement of materials required and final inspection reports
• Submit drawings as needed with customer for approval and construction for upgrades or new
• Coordinate with purchasing and shop personnel to ensure all necessary components are acquired
• Support production during implementation of designs
• Support customer questions regarding supplied equipment
• Create written reports regarding customer issues or recommended equipment
• Time will be spent in our facilities and our customer sites for inspections, installations, startups, rebuild and troubleshooting
• Confers with engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing, industrial, and process engineer preferred
• 3-4 years relevant experience in an industrial/ manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and thorough interest in the workings of machines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a group
• You are a “hands-on” person with an imaginative and resourceful approach to problem solving
• Experience in area of project management in a related industry
• Thorough understanding of MS Office software is required
• Ability to travel to customers and vendor workshops
