Position Title: Quality Control Technician
Location: Maryville, MO
Department: Quality
Shift: 2nd'3:00pm-11:00pm
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary: Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions and performance characteristics.
- Records test data into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or Access database.
- Evaluates data and communicates to operators and supervisors to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics using tensile testing, induction heat treat testing, and Rockwell hardness testing as needed.
- Communicates across shifts, with supervisors, operators and/or managers using oral, written, and email communications of test findings and corrections.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
Required Qualifications:
- Good understanding of inspection techniques and use of measurement equipment
- Ability to read and understand drawings and perform physical dimensional measurements to ensure product is manufactured according to specifications and tolerances
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others
- Should be analytical and have good mathematics skills
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, or crawl
- Must be able to lift 35lbs, at times may be asked to lift more
- Environment is non-climate controlled
- Production floor is typically loud
- Must wear required PPE
