Lead Mechanic/Shop Foreman (FT)

7820 NW Expressway Okarche, OK 73762 - USA *Full-Time $30-$35

Frontier Bridge, a local bridge company is seeking a Lead Mechanic/Shop Foremen to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of earth moving, road graders, tractors, dozers, pavers, etc. for Frontier Bridge Inc. Must possess hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Maintains punctuality and a professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas clean and orderly, and promoting safety regulations and all other company programs.

Job Duties / Essential Functions:


  • Ensure Safety and Quality are the 1st priority on every project.
  • Immediately reports any suspected drug, alcohol, or intoxication to the Safety Director.
  • This position is identified as a "safety sensitive position" due to (DEFINE) Example: working around heavy equipment and street / highway construction projects.
  • Mechanical experience of 5-7 years troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing all types of construction equipment preferred.
  • Work on Frontier Bridge equipment in the shop and travel to jobsite in the field when needed.
  • Possess an appropriate tool set for the position.
  • Operates and maintains electric and/or air powered hand tools.
  • Assists in testing and commissioning of products.
  • Performs pre-start checks and ensures product is ready for start-up.
  • Meets quality standards with no supervision, and minimum required rework.
  • Operates forklifts and overhead cranes as required.
  • Ability to read various measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and torque wrenches.
  • Maintains quality standards through visual and mechanical inspection methods.
  • Works safely by following established safety procedures.
  • Handles and properly disposes of hazardous wastes, such as oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, auto parts cleaner and similar material.
  • Troubleshoot using hydraulic and/or electrical schematics
  • Completes repair tickets showing work completed and any follow-up required
  • Continually evaluate potential safety situations and confer with the safety director on corrective measures.
  • Any employee given the privilege of driving a company pickup home shall keep that vehicle clean at all times. These pickups shall, at a minimum, be washed and cleaned, inside and out, every weekend. No personal use of company vehicles will be allowed, unless previously authorized by Management.
