Substitute Teacher for Preschool/Infant/Toddler

Position: Substitute Teachers work at our Preschool and Infant Toddler sites. They work side by side with our teachers providing quality childcare experiences both in the classroom and on the playground.

As a Substitute, you have some flexibility with your work schedule while having the opportunity to learn about our Head Start and Early Head Start programs and curriculum. We have 7 sites throughout Calaveras County Subs. The more availability you have to work at the various sites, the more experience you can get with our program. As a Substitute Teacher, you will work with a team of teachers to provide a comprehensive and educational program for children ages 0 to 5 years of age. Subs work with other teaching staff assisting in the set-up of both the indoor and outdoor learning environments creating a welcoming environment that promotes all areas of development through fun, play experiences. Sub Teachers are expected to actively supervise and participate with children during all activities while displaying energy and enthusiasm. Subs assist Teachers in making sure sites are in compliance with all health, safety and Community Care Licensing requirements. Becoming a Substitute Teacher is a great way to learn about our program and is a play where you can learn more about early childhood development by working alongside other professionals.

Variable Part Time Position: Tuesday - Friday, On Call, Flexible Hours

Salary Range: $ 16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Requirements:

· Minimum (6) Early Childhood Education units OR (3) ECE units & currently enrolled in (3) units, submit transcripts with resume

· Valid Calif. Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage

· Health Screening, proof of current negative TB test, immunizations required by Community Care Licensing (measles and pertussis) and current influenza shot
