2nd Shift Coater Operator (3pm-3am, Mon-Thu)

Description:

2nd Shift - 12 hour shift, Monday-Thursday, 3pm-3am

Pay based on experience.

Applicants must have the ability to maintain accurate production information, troubleshoot and correct problems, and properly identify products in regularly changing work paces. Flexibility and adaptability will be beneficial skills for this position.

Employees in this position must:

• Work directly with other STA employees to maintain a safe, professional, confidential and productive operation.
• Follow established methods and procedures to maximize material production and to enhance productivity and minimize scrap and coater defects.
• Assure proper materials and adhesive are being used.
• Check machine settings and oven temperatures.
• Efficiently use all material during manufacture, (i.e.: raw materials, adhesives, cores, release agents).
• Maintain accurate daily notes and other necessary paperwork and data entry as required by company policy.
• Accurately identify all manufactured rolls produced on the coaters with correct labels.
• Train coater personnel in station operations.
• Safe lift truck operation and inspection.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

• Experience in coating, flexographic printing or other roll-to-toll web handling operations is preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision, along with being able to direct his/her team members.
• Good attendance is crucial to success in this position.
• Oral and written English language literate. Must be able to communicate clearly with coworkers, management, and occasional customers.
• Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly stands and moves around the machine; uses hand and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms above the shoulder and below the waist; stoops, kneels or crouches; occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds 48 inches high. Must use hands and fingers to feel objects and controls.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Employee may work at different workstations or machines as production needs require. The noise level is loud and the temperature is often hot.
