YOUR DAY
As a Diesel Automotive Tech, each day brings new challenges and opportunities for you to prove yourself. You take our mobile mechanic van to a vehicle breakdown site or an assigned location and get it back running as quickly as possible. Attentively, you inspect vehicles, diagnose the problems, swap out parts, and repair anything that's broken. You regularly communicate with our service writer and document your work to keep accurate service records. When you're not fixing a client's vehicle, you're maintaining our work van and getting it ready for the next job.
YOUR HOURS
You usually work from Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
REQUIREMENTS
We'd prefer that you have a CDL but it's not required. Here are the minimum qualifications:
- ASE certification
- DOT certification and knowledge of compliance requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic OR in a technical school for diesel mechanics
- Knowledge to perform preventative maintenance and/or make repairs on Diesel engines
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and provide your tools
