Position Overview: The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is a dynamic role at the heart of our logistics operations, responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facilities. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a proactive mindset to support our shipping and receiving operations effectively.


Responsibilities:


1. Shipping Coordination:

  • Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation in compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.
  • Arrange transportation with carriers and freight forwarders, deliver locally as needed.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading.
  • Track and monitor shipment status, providing updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
  • Resolve shipping-related issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, proactively communicating with carriers and customers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Evaluate and optimize shipping processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.

2. Receiving Coordination:

  • Oversee the inbound receiving process, inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
  • Verify shipment documentation against purchase orders and packing lists, addressing discrepancies, and coordinating with suppliers or vendors, as necessary.
  • Organize received goods in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and inventory identification.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and identify potential discrepancies.

3. General Office:

  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, initiating replenishment orders to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Perform data entry tasks, including inputting shipment details, inventory counts, and other relevant information into electronic databases or spreadsheets.
  • Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, and organizing documents pertaining to customers.
  • Provide support for office communication, including answering phones, responding to emails, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.


Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics coordination roles, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  2. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.
  3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  4. Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory management systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software updates.
  5. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
  6. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  7. Valid Driver’s License

Compensation & Benefits


  • Base Salary: $38,000-44,000
