Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for meeting established distribution services and performance requirements. The Warehouse Supervisor will exercise the utmost care to safeguard personnel, mission stock, equipment, systems and facilities in accordance with established Government and Company policies and procedures.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all distribution services to include: Receiving, Storage, Issue, Packaging, Inventory Control and Transportation.
- Manage and meet contractual Acceptable Performance Levels (APLs) and Company performance requirements.
- Oversee the performance of subordinate management and Foreign National (FN)/Local National (LN) teams assigned to the contract.
- Establish work schedules to meet mission and productivity objectives.
- Maintain custody and care of Government mission stock and furnished property.
- Provide customer support for all functional areas.
- Adhere to Government and Company policies and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate records and reports as required.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) and possess at least five (2) years of experience as Supervisor in Distribution / Warehouse Operations or (5) years documented increasing responsibility within warehouse distribution operations such as Team Leader
Experience shall include as a minimum three (3) years experience within a warehousing and distribution operation utilizing an automated warehouse management systems within the past five (5) years and experience performing distribution functions.
SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language
- Ability to manage 50+ employees in a warehouse environment
- Trained and certified to handle all types of Government commodities (i.e., hazardous material, Maps, Controlled, etc.)
- Skilled in planning, controlling, managing, and being responsible for the successful completion of work requirements
- Ensure work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources
- Computer literate with proven experience using a warehouse management system (WMS). Distribution Standard System (DSS) experience is a plus.
- Ability to provide professional, effective supervision in a challenging work environment
- Experience utilizing and/or operating a variety of Material Handling Equipment
- Military or DLA Distribution experience preferable
- Experience with overseas projects a plus
- Experience supervising multi- national workforce a plus.
