Tool and Die Maintenance Machinist

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic/Machinist for a local client in Streetsboro, OH. Candidates who have a background working as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Position Description: Perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Require ability to use mills, lathes, grinders, and other metal working equipment.
• Precision machining, die maintenance, die and manufacturing equipment trouble shooting.
• Light electrical repair.
• Responsible for set-up, operating, repairing, and maintaining dies and various machines and equipment.
• Using a maintenance software, spare parts data base, data entry and computer use.
• Assist Maintenance Department as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years mechanical experience
• Must be physically able to bend, crawl over, under and around the machinery as needed and be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Good work record and a willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in team environment.
• Customer focused mindset and promotes continuous improvement.
• Experience in a high volume fast paced environment
