Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our talented team. As a CNA at WTCP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to patient care and improve their outcomes. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a crucial role in the healthcare system, providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) or registered nurses (RNs).This is a chance to be part of a company that values innovation, operational efficiencies, and personal growth.

  • The working schedule for this role is Mix of shifts;0200-1030; 0630-1500; 1030-1900; 1430-2300; 1730-0200
  • The duration is for a contractor for 13 weeks
  • The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
  • Holiday coverage is required
  • 36 hours guaranteed
  • The pay is $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly depending on experience. Must live within a commutable distance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Daily Activities: CNAs help patients with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and using the restroom
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: They measure and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate
  • Mobility Assistance: CNAs assist patients with walking, transferring from beds to chairs, and other mobility needs
  • Patient Safety: They ensure patient safety by using proper lifting techniques, maintaining a clean environment, and following infection control procedures
  • Emotional Support: CNAs provide emotional support to patients and their families, often developing close relationships with those under their care
  • Reporting: CNAs report any changes in patients' conditions to nurses, such as signs of discomfort or deterioration
  • Documentation: They maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including daily care activities and observations
  • Assisting with Medical Procedures: CNAs may assist with simple medical procedures, such as applying dressings, under the direction of nursing staff
  • Observation and Reporting: CNAs observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing or medical staff
  • Patient Advocacy: They serve as advocates for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minnesota Nursing Assistant Training Course and Competency Examination
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: NAR registration with the State of Minnesota
  • Current BLS
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional, friendly attitude
