$1000 SIGN ON BONUS


Shift: Rotating 8 hour schedule (7a-3p, 3p-11p & 11p-7a, all required)

JSP is seeking additional team members to support company growth related to the production of automotive, HVAC, packaging, sports and a variety of consumer goods markets. Our Butler, Pennsylvania location is in need of a Process Technician Backup to assist manufacturing operations and employees by optimizing equipment (hydraulic steam press) production performance and ensuring all employees are trained in the most efficient operational methods. The incumbent will spend the majority of time on the plant floor with production employees examining equipment, processes and operations and will suggest and implement production improvements as necessary.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

While the Process Technician is absent, the Back-up Process Technician will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for making adjustments to press settings like steam, heat, temperature, cooling time, etc. to fix issues with parts
  • Assist team members with press issues, training and problem solving
  • Train all team members as needed in press adjustments
  • Conduct back-up Safety, OSHA and other training as required
  • Participate in continuous improvement effort
  • Participate as department representative for all meetings on shift
  • Act as “manager on duty” as needed

Other duties:

  • Press operation - counting and visually inspecting parts
  • Performing quality inspections to ensure products meet all specifications
  • Fork truck operation (required - will train)
  • Documentation under ISO/IATF guidelines
  • Cross train on all equipment in the department
Requirements:
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be flexible and adaptable
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to teach others mechanical and technical skills
  • Forklift use required – will train
  • Must have finger dexterity and be able to see and hear.
  • Must be able to climb and work from a ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear/tolerate all PPE equipment; safety shoes, ear plugs and safety glasses.
  • Must be able to come to work as scheduled on a regular basis and be able to work scheduled shifts as necessary, including overtime, mandatory and otherwise.
  • Performs responsibilities in compliance with ISO-14001 policies, quality standards and procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered for employment
