Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to work for one of our amazing client companies! This will be a full time, direct hire position. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues and develop appropriate repair plans.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve complex engine and system malfunctions.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role.
- Certification from a recognized technical school or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
