We have an excellent opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. The Process Engineer position works closely with Plant Management, HSE Coordinators, HR leadership, Production personnel and other Operational Leaders to develop and improve plant and personnel operational excellence.

Requirements:

Develop and improve processes to increase manufacturing performance. Develop and maintain systems to ensure process control. Analyze data for process improvement opportunities, implement continuous improvement plans, and provide effective support to the production team and other business functions. Write and train operators on procedures to improve the effectiveness of our operation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participates on continuous improvement and/or other teams to develop
  • effective corrective and preventive actions;
  • Develop and support process trials and product development trials;
  • Responsible for planning and execution of process trials involving raw material
  • substitutions and/or raw material specification changes;
  • Understands and employs problem solving and process improvement tools and
  • techniques;
  • Maintains process control systems for product variables, working across all
  • departments to understand customer requirements and process
  • capabilities;
  • Supports supplier quality improvement efforts to ensure alignment with process
  • and customer requirements;
  • Support the cost management process for assigned area of responsibility;
  • Ensures timely input and accuracy of product/process data, and ability to retrieve
  • data for use by internal or external customers;
  • Trains production team members on procedures and work instructions as
  • appropriate to this position's expertise;

Technical Competencies:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Understands manufacturing processes, and documents as appropriate;
  • Focuses on results and maintains momentum and positive relationships during good and adverse conditions,
  • Complies with practices directed towards the pursuit of zero injuries, zero health risk, and zero environmental impact.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.
  • Computer knowledge (ERP, Excel, Word).

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A four-year degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent;
  • Experience or education in process and continuous improvement, quality systems, and high-performance work systems
