Job Summary:

This position performs major and minor repairs/service work to Maplehurst Farms fleet of rolling stock. Rolling stock consists of Semi's, forklifts, cars/trucks, trailers, etc. This position requires extended work hours during peak seasons, including weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Inspect fleet rolling stock to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair
  • Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts
  • Perform maintenance work to DOT standards for required equipment
  • Perform general repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane and battery powered engines/equipment
  • General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units
  • Perform preventative maintenance work on rolling stock including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections
  • Clean and maintain the work area and equipment
  • Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed
  • Maintain company equipment - keep in good clean orderly condition.
  • Work safely at all times Adhere to all applicable safety policies.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • The ability to fabricate and install hydraulic systems on trucks.
  • The ability to weld when necessary.
  • Travel to remote locations as needed.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and skills to operate and understand diagnostic equipment including computerized instrumentation.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing, information, instructions and explanations to team members and management regarding vehicle/component/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations, and repair processes.
  • Have current CDL driver's license or obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of truck components and systems.
