Internship - Boiler Service Technician

Fulton Group N.A. is a multinational boiler manufacturer with a variety of market leading products. The company is located in Pulaski, NY which is a short commute from Syracuse, just 30min from the 481-81 interchange.

The Co-op program at Fulton is a great opportunity for students to work with a multidisciplinary team and gain experience. Fulton touches many aspects of engineering, from combustion technology to electrical systems to heat transfer to turbomachinery.

The Boiler Service Technician Intern is responsible to provide excellent field support for starting up, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining Fulton equipment and systems in the factory and in the field!

Requirements:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Troubleshooting
• Preventative Maintenance
• Support Manufacturing as needed.
• Provide support and services in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):

• Pursuing a degree in a specialized technical field
• Valid drivers license
• Some travel required

DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:

• Service work – Perform technical service work in the field in a safe, efficient, capable manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
• Preparedness – Perform the necessary work to properly prepare for field jobs, site readiness and more.
• Documentation – Complete all required documentation and communication associated with the service work and continuous improve quality efforts.
• Off Road – Efficiently perform value added functions when not traveling in the areas of manufacturing and continuous improvements efforts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Heavy Work – Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Frequent standing and walking.
• Bending/Stooping – Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Full motion of the body, lower extremities and back muscles.
• Ability to run a sand rammer for extended periods of time.
• Respirator - Must be able to use a respirator and may be exposed to dust and fumes.
