Trailer Manufacturing Specialist

 

Job Summary:

As a Trailer Manufacturing Specialist at Turtleback Trailers, you will play a crucial role in the production process of our world-class trailers. You will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and inspecting various components and systems to ensure that our trailers meet the highest quality standards. Working in a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to the creation of durable and reliable trailers that enable our customers' adventures and explorations.


Responsibilities:

 

  1. Trailer Assembly: Participate in the assembly process, including installing various components such as cabinets, appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and interior fixtures according to design specifications.

 

  1. Metal Fabrication: Utilize metalworking tools and equipment to fabricate trailer frames, brackets, and other metal parts, ensuring precise measurements and welding for structural integrity.

 

  1. Quality Control: Perform thorough inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process to identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

 

  1. Electrical System Installation: Wire electrical components, lights, and accessories, following wiring diagrams and ensuring proper functionality.

 

  1. Plumbing System Installation: Install plumbing fixtures, water tanks, and pumps while ensuring leak-free connections.

 

  1. Woodworking and Cabinetry: Participate in woodworking tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling cabinetry and interior elements with attention to detail and craftsmanship.

 

  1. Mechanical Systems Integration: Assist in integrating mechanical components such as suspension systems, axles, brakes, and towing systems.

 

  1. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and any modifications made to trailers during the manufacturing process.

 

  1. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of skilled technicians, designers, and engineers to achieve production targets and resolve technical challenges.

 

  1. Safety Compliance: Follow company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and ensure personal safety while operating tools and equipment.

 

Requirements:

 

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certification in welding, metal fabrication, woodworking, or a related field is preferred but not required.

- Proven experience in trailer manufacturing, automotive assembly, or a similar industry is preferred.

- Proficient in using various hand and power tools, welding equipment, and metalworking machinery.

- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems in vehicles or trailers.

- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

- Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual tasks and lift heavy objects.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

- A passion for the outdoors and an understanding of the trailer market is a plus.
