Housekeeping Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

We’re looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to perform housekeeping services, provide our guests with a safe and clean environment, and ensure an exceptional guest experience overall. Experience in a supervisory role overseeing housekeeping staff or a similar role is required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English *Spanish is a plus but not a requirement
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have previous experience in Housekeeping, Casino experience preferred
• Must present a well-groomed appearance

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping director, or other similar position
• At least 2+ years’ experience in sanitation/guest services
• Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service
• Computer experience/Microsoft applications (is a plus)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the facility including casino
• Able to walk and remain standing for 8-10 hours with breaks
• Able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations
• Able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright/flashing and strobing lights, and dust
• Be able to identify all housekeeping needs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department including all the public areas and casino and report to Housekeeping Manager and above
• Lead, hire, and train housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction
• Offer advice as needed in housekeeping department budget, take inventory, and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies
• Document areas cleaned by housekeeping attendants and submit any issues that maintenance is required to repair
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed. This includes but is not limited to floor machine stripping/waxing and carpet cleaning
• Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies
• Must maintain all records on MSDS for all chemicals as needed
