Our SEH Water Engineering group is growing! We are looking for a talented Senior Civil / Water Engineer to join our team. This position is open to candidates residing in the state of Wisconsin or within a 200-mile radius.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading drinking water infrastructure projects and project teams to support the planning, design, and construction of water treatment, pumping, distribution and and storage projects.
  • Collaborating with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions
  • Maintaining close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion
  • Managing and mentoring junior level staff
  • Building and strengthening client relationships

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Ten (10) or more years of previous experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water projects, including treatment of PFAS, iron, manganese, nitrates, radium, and other contaminants removal; wells and pumphouses, storage facilities, booster stations, and distribution systems. Experience with drinking water studies, report writing, system modeling, and construction of these facilities is also preferred. Experience with regulatory agencies and the plan review processes, such as Department of Natural Resources or Department of Health, and Public Service Commission permitting.
  • Minimum of five (5) years project management experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years managing staff
  • Knowledge of regional water issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
  • Previous experience in proposal and client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals
  • Must be capable of scoping and budgeting new drinking water facility projects and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
  • Must reside in state of Wisconsin or within a 200-mile radius

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Fifteen (15) years or more experience
  • Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff
  • Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national water societies and associations
  • Knowledge and proficiency with software including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
