Job Purpose Summary

Works with the Sky-Trak operator to load and/or Unload fiberglass swimming pools and pool equipment. The Loading Assistant will help prepare trailers and equipment prior to loading the swimming pools. Works closely with logistics coordinator and production to meet delivery schedule.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the movement of all pools from trim and detail to the staging area each day.
  • Assist the Sky Trak operator with the daily work plan. This involves selecting pools from the daily load list and loading the pool on a trailer.
  • Assist with the inspection of pools prior to loading on the trailer. Mold marks, scratches, scuff marks and structural damage is identified, and reported to manufacturing for repair.
  • Asist with the movement of completed loads to the designated departure area.
  • Follows the company’s standard operating procedures and abide by safe work practice guidelines.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and well organized after each shift.
  • Assist in the inventory count each month.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement.
  • Works overtime as required to make schedules.

Qualifications

  • Certification to operate Lift Trucks, Cranes and Sky Tracks
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
  • Punctuality, good attendance, dependability, and positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions

(Constant = 75 – 100% of the time; Frequent = 50 – 75% of the time; Occasional = 25 – 50% of the time; Rare = less than 25% of the time)

  • Work Environment:
  • Constant: exposure to solvents and the fumes of chemicals
  • Consistent: extreme cold/hot outdoor temperatures, heights, noise, windy, dusty, rainy, snowy, and other inclement conditions you would experience in the outdoors.
  • Constant: working around large machines, trucks, trailers, lifts, and sky tracks

Physical Demands:

  • Constant: hearing, standing, climbing, seeing, ability to distinguish shades of color, on feet all day
  • Frequent: reading, talking, seeing in color, walking, bending, climbing ladders and stairs, crawling, hand movement (finger dexterity, grasping, holding, repetitive motions), lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling, reaching, stooping
  • Occasional: sitting, seeing up close, writing

Protective Equipment Used:

  • Safety glasses (Z87) with side shields in all production areas
  • Hearing protection and respirator
  • Fall protection.
