Please join our expanding team!

This full-time position will be part of a new team working along with peer support staff to respond in-person to mental health crisis events in Harvey, Marion and McPherson counties. The clinician will participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide crisis interventions to those in need, assessing for safety of the person and determining any necessary follow-up care. Will coordinate care with local hospital emergency departments, law enforcement personnel, and other clinical staff as needed. This position will work 2p – 10p Thursday – Monday. The clinician may be remote until mobile crisis deployment is requested. Some on-site work will be required. An in-person response and assessment is expected.

Required qualifications: Master's Degree and current licensure in Kansas, or in pursuit of a Kansas license, as a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Crisis experience preferred but not required. Must be able to pass required criminal background checks. Must have a valid driver's license and be approved for driving by our organization's insurance carrier.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desire to serve the local community in crisis-type situations

Ability to relate to a diverse population

Strong clinical assessment skills

Willingness and ability to physically respond and to to the crisis in the community on short-notice

Bi-lingual: Spanish-speaking, reading, writing skills
