Sr. Analyst Marketing Campaign Analyst

Position Summary

The Sr Marketing Campaign Analyst will focus on delivering powerful customer experiences across engagement touchpoints by leveraging data and tools to bring marketing to life. This position leads consumer data selection for one-to-one marketing campaigns and manages the deployment of campaigns. The Business Intelligence & Segmentation team is part of the Marketing organization and plays a vital role in campaign activation.

The Sr Marketing Campaign Analyst accomplishes this through partnerships internally within the company, external vendors, and software/data suppliers. The individual we seek for this opportunity is expected to be driven by excellence and passion for data and marketing technology. This role is responsible for using a mix of technologies and methodologies to execute highly-customized customer audiences for sophisticated one-to-one marketing campaigns. This role also acts as a consultant that interfaces technology and marketing to provide options and identify new opportunities that will improve marketing effectiveness. In addition, this role will develop, support, and automate performance reports/dashboards to help monitor performance, identify anomalies and evaluate business impact, and assist in developing models for campaign targeting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform campaign selection from various enterprise databases via Oracle and SQL Server leveraging SQL, SAS, PowerBI, and Tableau.
  • Create business requirements and business-friendly pseudocode on audience campaign selection and analytical products.
  • Provide recommendations, results, and guidance to interdisciplinary leadership teams based on a statistical analysis of customer information, communicating a clear understanding of the actionable insights.
  • Support leadership and senior analysts with CRM systems integration and deployment.
  • Assist in the definition, build, and audit of predictive models.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of programming in SQL
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience with marketing campaign audience selection processes and campaign deployment functions
  • A minimum of 2 years of SAS Enterprise Guide programming is preferred but not required.
  • Strong data and process UAT and quality assurance aptitude
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical concepts and vice versa
  • Experience in software delivery, preferably a mix of vendor packages and custom builds
  • Willingness to investigate, learn, and promote alternate agile delivery methods
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of matrix data environments
  • Hospitality/travel industry experience, or at a minimum consumer-facing industry
  • Proven understanding of campaign delivery technologies
  • Problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Systems thinking and great attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurship mentality and willingness to be a leader in learning new spaces
  • Experience with large organizations and broad role responsibilities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (i.e., Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics/Science, or related is preferred)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarization with SalesForce Marketing Cloud
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau in relational databases
  • Experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases required
  • Experience synthesizing insights into presentations to leaders, as well as the ability to confidently communicate with senior leadership about the interpretation of the analyses
  • Analysts must work accurately and effectively to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and meet the business's goals.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated Project Management ability.
