Youth Pastor - Woodland Bible Church
Woodland Bible Church in Warroad, MN is seeking a full-time Pastor of Student Ministries. The current Youth Pastor is retiring after 27 years of service. The successful candidate will be experienced in teen ministry, a graduate of college or seminary with a degree in Ministry or Biblical Studies. The candidate must be a person of God, people person, self-starter, and highly teachable. Warroad, Mn is a family oriented town located along the northern border of the US and Canada. Position Title: Youth Pastor
Status: Full-time paid position
Reports to: Church board
Church Description: We are a small, multi-generational church located in Warroad, MN. We have a contemporary/traditional style of worship. We have an active, vibrant youth ministry and have a passion for both discipleship and outreach. Our church motto: Knowing Christ, and Making Him Known
Position Description: Provide leadership to the church's Youth ministry. Throughout the year this may include weekly youth events, Sunday morning worship times, and special activities/events. you would also be expected to serve within your abilities/interests in our summer camp ministry.
Personal Profile:

* Strong work ethic and highly self-initiative
* Proven stability in work/ministry background
Key Competencies:
* People skills: able to relate well to people of all ages, but particularly youth/children and their parents
* Teamwork: able to work well within a team environment and to lead and foster healthy teams
* Planning: able to develop a year-long ministry plan and execute weekly activities
* Biblical knowledge: able to teach the Bible to youth/children in any age appropriate and practical way
* Outreach: able to reach community youth through various means
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead weekly youth ministry gatherings, including preparing and delivering devotionals
* Engage in special community outreach events
* Work with and equip youth ministry leadership team and a ministry team made up of volunteer young adults/adults
* Mentor / facilitate mentoring of teen students
* Preaching occasionally on Sunday mornings
* Participate in the planning and execution of Sunday morning worship and special events
* Coordinate youth events and mission trips
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
* Four-year youth ministry degree or biblical studies degree
* 3 to 5 years or more experience in youth ministry
* First aid training/CPR training would be an asset
* Valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle
* Willing to submit to a background check
