Job Description

Summary
The Director of Brand Marketing leads The Little Nell’s annual marketing strategy development, on-going marketing plan execution, development of assets and campaigns and is responsible for the daily management of The Little Nell’s on-property marketing team in Aspen. The Director of Brand Marketing will focus on marketing both hotel and food & beverage operations and achieving monthly and annual revenue goals. Additionally, the Director of Brand Marketing will lead the brand’s expansion into new markets and own the marketing strategies for future properties. The role will collaborate closely with the hotel’s General Manager and report to the Vice President, Hospitality and Brand Marketing. The individual in this role has a deep understanding of building meaningful connections with consumers, forging integrated brand partnerships, and creating buzz in the market through experiential activations while establishing strong foundations of brand and creative management. This position can be based in Aspen or Denver, Colorado.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions
•    Establish and implement data-driven holistic marketing strategies to drive the business and elevate the brand
•    Develop, assess, and refine marketing tactics based on carefully developed KPIs and learnings
•    Drive creative storytelling, campaigns, and unique guest experiences
•    Oversee all aspects of content marketing and creative campaigns including collateral, print, digital, advertising, branding, social media, and event partnerships producing visual assets 
•    Own the 360-consumer journey and partner cross-departmentally on all guest touchpoints 
•    Ensure brand voice and pillars are maintained and are consistent according to established brand standards
•    Oversight of digital media presence and content for property: company website, third-party sites, OTAs etc. 
•    Oversee all social media initiatives for the property including content calendar review and approval, growth strategy and engagement goals, and ensuring all imagery and copy is representative of the property and brand in line with brand standards
•    Oversee email marketing strategy and execution
•    Work with the GM, Sales, and Revenue departments to create seasonal packages, promotions, and communications that ensure the property meets revenue and reaches new audiences for both rooms and food & beverage departments
•    Ability to analyze KPI to discover best practices and shifts accordingly 
•    Manage all promotional packages / campaigns including creative oversite and reporting analysis
•    Partner with the Food & Beverage and Events team to drive awareness and sales for key programs and initiatives
•    Lead general F&B promotion, including management of the digital presence for all F&B venues on property
•    Establish strategic brand partnerships that present a symbiotic value-add for consumers and each partner; build strong relationships with potential brand partners, like-minded brands, and other organizations.
•    Field and analyze ROI and value for new events and partnership requests
•    Support F&B department with programming ideation, events, and execution
•    Lead annual marketing budget process and invoicing efforts
•    Manage vendor and agency relationships
•    Communicate and educate all hotel and brand initiatives and announcements to the property

Qualifications

•    10+ years of marketing experience
•    Minimum of 4 years in hospitality marketing preferred
•    Experience in Restaurant and/or Food & Beverage outlets a plus
•    Bachelor's Degree with preferred emphasis in marketing or business
•    Experience with content and asset production
•    Previous experience leading teams
•    Must be able to lead, motivate and encourage others and possess very strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
•    Exceptional written, verbal and in person skills including etiquette and ability to work with the public 
•    Knowledge of communications skills, exceptional organization skills, ability to deal with diverse clientele
•    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists



Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received  
Given: Exercises general supervision over The Little Nell’s marketing efforts and team. A variety of routine tasks, sets general expectations of results expected within company’s policies and procedures. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Received: Works under supervision of the VP of Hospitality Brand & Marketing and receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing the methods to attain them.

Work Environment and Physical Demands  
•    Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements   
•    No adverse or hazardous conditions  
•    Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
