Starting Pay: $115,000;

Be Responsible for providing professional engineering services to the city?

Specifically:

• Responsible for all aspects of project management including, but not limited to, working with outside firms on planning, cost estimating, consultant coordination, bidding, contract administration, construction/utility coordination, and invoicing for all city engineering projects.
• Attend all regular City Council meetings.
• Coordination with La. DOTD
• Reviews proposed planning and zoning items with respect to public roadway, drainage, or flood plain issues.
• Provide preliminary scoping and cost estimating.
• Provides technical advice and assistance to City management, field personnel, contractors, etc.
• Assists Public Works Director with internal and external construction projects including design, computer drafting, field trouble shooting, etc.
• Prepares engineering plans and studies for minor scale construction projects.
• Works with City personnel on application exhibits and descriptions for projects and materials.
• Works with city attorney as needed.
• Other : Any other related duties or tasks assigned

Do you have…

A Bachelor’s degree (BS) or equivalent in a related field from an accredited college or university; and 5 years previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience?

A Licensed Professional Engineer Required?
