Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Compensation: Starting at $17/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Calculate and input wage and hour adjustments, including overtime and bonuses
- Handle payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Generate payroll reports
- Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Meet deadlines for payroll
- Ensure records are up to date and in place
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing software (ADP, Paycom, Netchex, etc.)
- Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is a must
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
