Shop Helper

Our Client, an industrial repair shop of generators, motors, pumps, and gen sets, located off of Beltway 8 between Missouri City and Pearland has an immediate need for Shop Helpers. This is a temp to hire position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with disassembly and reassembly of motors, generators and pumps.
• Sandblast, steam clean, cleans and prep parts.
• Operates the cutout saw and put motors, generators and pumps in the burn out oven.
• Obtains parts from stock room and hands tools to mechanic.
• Performs routine ground keeping duties such as mowing lawn, weed eating and picking up trash.
• Operate company equipment (i.e.: Forklift, Crane, hand tools etc.) in a safe and efficient manner in the performance of all duties as required.
• Comply with all company policies / procedures and perform all job functions in an ethical manner.
• Responsible for maintaining clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
• Complete all required safety training.
• Performs other routine duties.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
• Industrial Painting experience a plus.
