Magretech is a magnesium recycler based in Bellevue, Ohio servicing the die casting, aluminum, sand casting, and aerospace industry. The company supplies secondary magnesium ingot while also providing tolling and chip recycling services. Our products are completely made of scrap.

Job Summary:The Quality Technician will assess and test samples of raw materials, products in process, and final products using a variety of laboratory equipment.
- None.
- Gathers samples of raw materials and evaluates them using lab equipment to ensure they meet company standards regarding quality and color.
- Gathers random samples of outgoing finished products and evaluates them using lab equipment to ensure they meet company and customer standards.
- Reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate next steps for acceptable and/or unacceptable samples.
- When quality problems occur, assists supervisors and other inspectors with follow-up checks.
- Assists line inspectors in isolating the cause of quality problems; offers assistance and provides recommendations for resolving and preventing further problems.
- Evaluates samples from new line runs; reports compliance with company product specifications to line mechanic or other appropriate staff.
- Evaluates packaging to minimize defects from inadequate protection during shipping.
- Adheres to all company, local, and federal procedures, guidelines, and rules regarding the protection of self and plant staff.
- Maintains a work area that is neat and orderly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by production supervisor(s).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized with great attention to detail.
- Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment.
- Ability to use basic hand/power tools safely and effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Thorough understanding of company quality specifications and manuals.
- High school diploma, technical school education, or equivalent required; mathematics emphasis preferred.
- At least three years of experience in quality inspection or other manufacturing related work required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to work in extreme heat environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
