Job Description
At PD&B, we build incredible custom machines from the ground up. We work with our customers to build novel and innovative custom-designed manufacturing equipment. We work in nearly any industry, but some of our largest customers are in the aluminum extrusion (HVAC and Automotive), chemical, garage door, EV, and corrugated cardboard industries. We serve customers with manufacturing facilities all around the world, but also have strong regional partnerships with locally owned companies. PD&B has a 30,000 sqft facility that houses a team of engineers, machine shop, weld shop, paint booth, electrician and panel build area, and a team of mechanics that all work together to design, manufacture, build, wire and run our customers equipment under one roof. For a mechanic, this is a unique opportunity to be involved in a company that builds different machines every year. You have direct input and feedback on how the machine goes together and what ends up working as designed or needs to be reworked to function properly. At the end of the project, the mechanic travels with the controls engineers to help install and run off the machine at the customers facility.

Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications

- Strong mechanical skills including sophisticated machine maintenance, bearing assembly, motor and servo experience, conveyors, etc.
- Willingness to travel internationally travel for the position is about 30% at most, and is focused in the US and Mexico, but can be overseas from time to time.
- Ability to read CAD blue prints and have a high attention to detail.
- At least 3 years of direct experience is preferred in a maintenance position, assembler or installer
- Ability to lift 50lbs and work laying in tight spaces from time to time
