SK Microworks America, Inc. a world leader in polyester film, located 35 miles SE of Atlanta in Covington, GA, has an immediate need for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production.
  • Perform electromechanical skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Work with PLC’s, Drives, DCS systems, Control Logic and other basic electrical components.
  • Document work in an automated work order system.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • High School diploma or GED. Associate Degree in Electro Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • 3 plus years of Manufacturing or Production Electrical Maintenance experience required.
  • Must have excellent Electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Electrical Maintenance on control circuits, 3 phase motors, VFD’s, AC/DC Drives, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Electrical Aptitude and ability to read and interpret Electrical Diagrams and Control Circuits.
  • Knowledge of Volts, Amps, Ohms – electrical current.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Proven diagnostic, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience (electrical & mechanical).
  • Experience in automation, PLC controls (Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi) and robotics.
  • Knowledge in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of industrial communication networks.
  • Prior experience with industrial power 480V and above.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Willing to work in varying conditions (heat, cold, indoors, outdoors, heights).
  • Proficient in English language is required – good communication skills.

Candidates will be required to take an electrical skills qualification assessment.
