General Labor Grinder

Summary
The Laborer/Helper’s primary responsibility is assisting skilled personnel in projects, tasks, and clean-up. This position reports to the shop Foreman.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
· Comply with company Housekeeping policies and standards to maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
· Ensure documentation is complete and accurate in a timely manner.
· Reads, interprets, and understands job cards.
· Maintains and inspects equipment.
· Perform unskilled and skilled labor tasks in the manufacturing facility.
· Will utilize a variety of hand tools and equipment when performing a task.
· Perform other duties assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
· Ability to safely operate the overhead crane.
· Ability to safely operate hand tools such as grinder, hammer, wrench, and pry bar.
· Understand metric measurements and standard measurements.
· Basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written.
· Minimum 1-year experience in an Industrial environment.
· High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
