Company Description- Local baking manufacturer in Chicago is searching for a Production Manager to join a well-established Chicago based baking organization.
- This is a new facility that is fully automated that is hiring due to expansion and growth
- People who we have placed at this company describe them as family oriented and place that cares about their employee’s successes
- Local candidates only and sponsorship is not available

- Salary range is 80K – 100K + bonus (based on education and experience)
Responsibilities
- Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to baking processing and packaging
- Support continuous improvement objectives to improve operations and safety throughout the processes
- Provides direction, expertise, work execution decisions and compliance reviews for all work
- Direct supervision of 1-3 supervisors and 40 employees
- Maintain GMP provisions and monitor employee practices, conduct safety training to comply with OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed.
- Provide positive reinforcement, constructive criticism, and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
- Identify and resolve issues using continuous improvement methodologies
Requirements
- BS/BA degree is preferred or equivalent of 5+ years of baking leadership experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience in a baking manufacturing environment
- Bi-lingual (Spanish / English) is a plus
- Experience with any the following is preferred: HAACP, FDA, GMP’s, AIB, USDA, SQF or BRC
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver results with effective team building skills
