Job Summary:
NTB is a growing family-oriented, company that is looking for a diesel technician to be based out of Lansing, MI to support maintenance for our dedicated customers. Our shops at NTB are locally ran where there is a sense of ownership and camaraderie. We are seeking an experienced diesel technician to perform PMs and repairs to tractors, trailers, and reefers. Our fleet consists of new Freightliner tractors and a variety of dry van and reefer trailers. You duties would be performed within the shop and very rarely asked to assist with a road call.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge in the operation of the equipment needing repair
- Knowledge in the repair of equipment and preventative maintenance procedures
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements regarding service and repair of equipment
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor
- Ability to lift 100lbs and carry 50lbs on a routine basis to complete the duties listed above
- Ability to crawl, kneel, stoop, bend, crouch, climb, lift, sit, lay on a creeper and maneuver in tight places where physical mobility is required to accomplish the duties listed above
- Ability to climb steps or ladders to enter tractors or trailers or gain access to a location which needs inspection or repair. This would also include moving, cleaning, repairing, adjusting, inspecting or modifying equipment
- Ability to climb scaffolding and work at this elevated position for some time.
- Ability to maneuver the equipment with a tractor, switcher, or yard truck.
- Must be an experienced technician or recent graduate of a technical school trained to complete all necessary job functions as listed.
- Supervisor Experience required
- Must have a valid driver’s license to operate the facility vehicles off complex.
