Binghamton Jellystone Park Campground is a vibrant family-friendly destination nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Binghamton, New York. Our park offers a wide range of amenities and recreational activities for guests of all ages, ensuring memorable experiences for families seeking outdoor adventure and relaxation.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of Binghamton Jellystone Park's facilities and infrastructure. This full-time position requires a versatile individual with skills in various maintenance tasks, including minor electrical and plumbing work.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of campground facilities, including cabins, restrooms, recreational areas, and infrastructure.
2. Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, etc.
3. Address plumbing issues promptly, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing faucets and toilets.
4. Assist in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, ensuring proper functionality and guest comfort.
5. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
6. Perform carpentry work, including repairing or replacing damaged structures, furniture, and fixtures.
7. Assist in duties, including honey-dipper service, mowing, trimming, and maintaining the grounds.
8. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing issues efficiently and effectively.
9. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
10. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and inventory.
11. Collaborate with other departments as needed to support park operations and special projects.
12. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues outside of regular working hours, as required.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or campground setting.
- Proficiency in performing minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and carpentry work.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
