We provide hazardous materials disposal and recycling services to help clients meet regulatory compliance with particular focus on protecting the environment and workplace safety. We are located in the Charleston, WV, Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Areas, with flexibility for some remote work.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accounting Manager.  The role is located in Cambridge, Ohio Area, but some work from home is acceptable. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Finance team and report to the CFO.

The accounting manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting team and the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets. This position will develop and maintain accounting procedures, practices, and principles and prepare and review ledger entry reconciliations and general ledger system.

Responsibilities

·         Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including  accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger and fixed asset activity

·         Assign projects and direct staff

·         Monitoring and analyzing accounting data used to produce financial reports or statements

·         Assist in the month end close process

·         Assist in producing financial reports and statements

·         Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles

·         Providing recommendations to improve systems, controls, procedures and initiating corrective action

Qualifications

·         Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

·         Ability to direct and supervise.

·         Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, related field

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, accounting databases

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Ability to work independently and in a team environment

·         CPA or CMA designation preferred

·         Experience in QuickBooks preferred
