What You'll Do We are seeking a strategic, and diligent Director of U.S. Segment Marketing to join our team! This role is integral to developing and implementing strategic marketing plans for the U.S. Wealth & Institutional audiences, Scholar’s Edge 529 Plan & digital email automation. Reporting to the CMO, the Director of U.S. Segment Marketing role involves close collaboration with Distribution, Digital marketing, Asset Class & Insights Content, Product Marketing, and our Global Experience teams, and will contribute to pivotal initiatives and campaigns to support our firm's growth. As the Director, you'll:Collaborate with digital, content, and product teams to develop and implement impactful marketing strategies across various platforms (paid media, digital, multimedia, events, partnerships) to achieve measurable business goalsBuild strong collaborative relationships with client-facing teams to facilitate communication, find opportunities and challenges and align marketing effortsChampion digital marketing strategies to drive targeted communication programs, including client champion email campaigns to provide leads to salesCoordinate with external vendors for the production and execution of advertising and other client marketing campaignsCompile, analyze, and present metrics reports for activation, and provide insights on how to move forward based on these metricsThis role will be located in Principal's New York Office or corporate headquarters, Des Moines, Iowa. Who You AreBachelor's degree or equivalent, and 8+ years' work experience in intermediary and institutional marketing in the asset management industry required. Deep knowledge of the financial services market and products is highly preferred.Proven success in supporting client-facing teams in acquiring and retaining clients and assets through coordinated marketing programsFormal leadership experience required.Strong digital marketing skills, with the ability to understand and segment data for measurement purposesProactive attitude, comfortable with ambiguity, and problem-solving abilityAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with  shifts in prioritiesAbility to interpret and communicate concepts both verbally and in writingDetail oriented and have excellent planning, delegation, and time management skillsMust be able to lead expectations, attend to details, balance multiple projects, and prioritize optimallySalary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
