We are seeking an ambitious and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments for individuals with a variety of intellectual and developmental delays, including those with and without autism. As an integral member of our interdisciplinary team, the SLP will play a crucial role in enhancing communication skills, promoting social interaction and play skills, and improving overall quality of life for our students. Clinical and professional growth is a high priority and is promoted via training and supervisory support.

CFY candidates welcome!

We have openings in our speech department and have on-site supervisors who will be able to offer a very supportive CFY experience.

Preschool/New Discoveries Learning Center: Our students present with a wide variety of physical, intellectual, communication, and social-emotional challenges. We support child specific multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to treatment.

SLPs as communication specialists focus on:

Building functional communication so that our students can fully access their education
Communicate their wants and needs
Excel academically
Build confidence and social emotional well-being.
SLPs also address any feeding issues and participate in ongoing observation/monitoring in this area.

Education/Licensure Requirements

Masters in Speech-Language Pathology (CFY students welcome)
Valid New York State license and registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certificate Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Eligibility
