Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School Setting

Position Type: Contract

Start Date: August 2, 2024

End Date: May 23, 2025

Hours per Week: 37.5

Daily Schedule: Variable, Depending on Elementary, Middle, or High School Hours

School Building: Placement Upon Hiring

Caseload: Based on minutes, typically 38-4200 minutes weekly

Open to Clinical Fellow: Yes

Location: North Carolina (NC)

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school team in North Carolina for the upcoming academic year. As an integral part of our special education services, the SLP will work with students to provide assessments, interventions, and therapy to support their communication needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for student success.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to student education plans.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • State licensure in North Carolina (NC), or ability to obtain licensure.
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in a school setting, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
