Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Inclusion Classroom

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in an inclusion classroom setting. This position is a contract role until the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with general education teachers to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Adapt general education lessons and materials to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Provide direct instruction in academic and social skills development.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student assessments, progress reports, and behavior plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
• Valid state teaching license/certification in Special Education (MS license required).
• Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
