Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary: The speech-language pathologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. They work with people of all ages, from infants to the elderly, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Provide therapy to improve speech, language, communication, and swallowing skills.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech and language disorders, as well as strategies to improve communication and swallowing function.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, psychologists, and educators, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
  • State licensure or certification to practice as an SLP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
