Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid certification/license as a School Psychologist in Texas
- Previous experience working in educational settings preferred
- Thorough understanding of local and state regulations governing special education and student services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively engage with educators, administrators, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Provide individual and group counseling to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Attend and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and develop appropriate interventions
- Assist in the identification and referral of students for special education services
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of school psychology
