Position Summary

Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer, analyze current work processes and data to identify/establish/improve standards to improve KPIs. Evaluate and improve performance, training needs, forecasting and maximize resources utilization. Designs and develops production and manufacturing systems or processes using Production Daikin System and other proven tools to drive and sustain the improvements, reduce cost and extend knowledge in problem solving and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing process design, analysis and improvement.
• Kaizen execution and development, leading and participation.
• Project management, coaching/leading multidisciplinary teams during the Kaizen journey and managing multiple projects at a time.
• Process capacity analysis and resources definition to meet demand, define standards for labor utilization.
• Recommends, lead and improve methods for improving resources utilization and reducing waste.
• Data analysis for KPI/KAI tracking and improvement. Including statistical approach.
• Data collection systems/process design and implementation as required.
• Training programs design and deployment in order to increase Kaizen/problem solving effectivity and expansion.
• Support as applicable and needed for team members development.
• Analyzes processes, work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data to improve productivity and efficiency,
• Utilizes proven PDS and other methodologies principles for manufacturing areas.
• Abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased quality, workflow improvements, etc.
• Recommends reorganizing workflow, relocating of equipment and recommends purchase of equipment.
• Coordinate project work internally & externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion of projects within budget.
• Complete understanding of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery Metrics.
• WCM, TPS, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge application.
• Ability to work out the time taken to perform a task or to complete a particular production stage and set performance standards.
• Establishes continuous improvement goals and executes action plans.

Nature & Scope

• Works within knowledge and teamwork with lead and team members. • Works within well-defined instructions and alignment with team/lead. • Will work with the other Daikin areas when needed, including internal and external from other business units. • Team members training and coaching

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive understanding and knowledge manufacturing processes and practice. • A minimum of 3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment, improving processes and KPIs. • Strong knowledge and application skills of Problem-Solving and Lean Tools including poka-yoke, Kaizen, One piece flow, 4M’s,5 Why’s, 5 W+1 h, etc. • Software skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Mnitab. • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, being capable to train/coach others in the subject. • Effective communication skills - both oral and written. • Effective and proven project management skills. • Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams.

Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree • 5+ years experience in manufacturing / assembly environment. • Time studies analysis. • Factory Master Plan • WCM, TPS, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing tools.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
