What will be your daily pursuit?:

As the People & Culture Coordinator you will provide P&C support the Alaska Collection on a variety of People & Culture initiatives and tasks.

What will you do in this job?:

Engagement & Recognition

  • Assist with annual team member engagement survey and action planning process in partnership with the Manager of People & Culture and in alignment with the collection’s overall targets and goals.
  • Lead and deliver Pursuit’s recognition programs and assist with program communication, providing feedback on program enhancements.

 

Administrative P&C Support

 

  • Support the People & Culture Manager by ensuring the P&C email inbox is up to date
  • Support department with physical mail review, provide responses pertaining to employment verification or unemployment claims.
  • Assist with delivering engaging, comprehensive, and consistent onboarding experience for new team members in partnership with the Manager of People & Culture and other Operations leaders.
  • Partner with the Manager of People & Culture on any updates needing HRIS or Payroll department processing or support, including uploading team member documentation as needed
  • Assist and participate in collection and line of business training and development initiatives as identified.

 

Recruiting

  • Assist with recruitment by screening and interviewing candidates, partnering with Talent Acquisition to drive top of funnel flow, and by directly boosting targeted roles.
  • Compliance
  • Subscribe to relevant publications to stay up to date with Alaska labor laws and regulations in our industry and provide recommendations for any changes to the Manager of People & Culture and Director of People & Culture.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
  • Associate degree in human resources or related field preferred; or real-world education in the school of hard knocks
  • 3 or more years progressive HR experience 
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices and US labor laws
  • Strong curiosity with the ability to research what you don’t know and develop recommendations to share with P&C and Operations leadership
  • Desire and ability to build strong relationships/partnerships
  • HR Certifications (SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR) are preferred but not required in this role
