Caregiver needed- flexible hours

One On One Care is currently seeking a caregiver for a young teen boy. He has mostly nonfunctional vocabulary; he sometimes can verbalize effectively but he mostly requires someone who is familiar with his vocalizations, body language and mannerisms to understand his wants/needs. He requires total care for his bath; he has a shower chair and grab bars in his tub-style bath. For dressing, he requires a lot of verbal prompting and physical assistance to get dressed. He must have his clothes picked out for him and he cannot use buttons or zippers (he must have hook and loop style fasteners). Client wears pull-ups for bladder/bowel incontinence; and he must be prompted multiple times per day to go to the bathroom. For BM's, he sometimes will give indications that he needs to go but he mostly is incontinent. He must have his pull-up changed promptly, as he will reach into his pull-up and smear his feces. Client is able to feed himself finger foods, his caregivers are working on using utensils but he must have hand over hand prompting to eat with spoons/forks. He is able to ambulate around his home but when out in the community, he requires the use of his white guiding cane and physical assistance. 

Schedule is flexible.

PCA or HHA certification is preferred, but we will pay the certification training costs for the right candidate.  The training is an online, self-paced class, and after your training is complete you will receive a pay increase!
