Journeyman Electrician

Location: Rapid City

Reports to: Master Electrician

Overview:

ANCO is looking for dedicated Electricians seeking a fulfilling career working on a variety of commercial and utility projects. ANCO offers mentorship, career progression, great pay, and benefits. As a Journeyman Electrician you will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems on-site. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience and is licensed to perform unsupervised work that is expected to meet NEC compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities Journeyman Electrician:

• May be assigned to over-see the work of an Apprentice Electrician in various tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools, test meters and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Skills and Physical Requirements:

• Must have a high mechanical aptitude, good with their hands, organized and analytical.
• Must be able to endure prolonged periods sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
• Must possess physical strength to pull wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to frequently lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Must be comfortable with heights.
